Map Making

To begin our Holiday Orkney topic, we worked in groups to create maps of Orkney.

 



This challenge was more tricky than we first thought it was going to be, as we weren't allowed anything to copy from.  All we had to use was our own knowledge.

 



We used green and blue paper and weren't allowed scissors.  We had to tear the paper to get the shapes of the islands.

 

It was great fun, and we all did better than we expected.

 

We will do the activity again at the end of the topic, and compare the two to see if our knowledge of Orkney has improved.
